ResearcHERs Brings Neuroscience to the Public
Is it possible to retrain a brain? TSRI Professor Hollis Cline, thinks so. Cline’s laboratory focuses on early brain development and how brain circuits change over time. This lecture series is organized by the TSRI Female Faculty Group and is free to the public.

From Intern to Biologist
Thanks to an internship at TSRI, Anastasia Gromova has gone from curious college student to budding cell biologist. Back in 2009, Gromova was searching for research positions online when she found an internship opportunity at TSRI. Gromova, at the time an undergraduate at the University of San Diego, wanted to learn more about cell biology and leapt at the chance to work in a TSRI lab. “That just kicked off my whole research career,” said Gromova.

Sun, Science and SURF
40 interns participated in TSRI's 10-week Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program, which provides a chance for students to learn new laboratory techniques, find mentors and explore careers in biomedical research.

Graduate Students Lead the Way at Saturday Science
Graduate students at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) know that finding an enthusiastic mentor can make a big difference in a scientific career. That’s why many of them volunteered at the latest Saturday Science outreach event for local San Diego high school students.
