Details

Selected students will participate in all three components of the program:

  1. Students will attend a unpaid pre-internship training course. The 'boot camp' will be held at the Grossmont or Miramar Colleges immediately prior to the seven-week internship. College credit for the training course may be available for qualified applicants.
  2. Through an interview process with principal investigators, students will be matched with a research laboratory for an internship, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., from June 26 - August 11, 2017.
  3. During the seven-week internship, each high school student will meet with a graduate student mentor who will help guide the student through their experience in the lab, the college application/selection process, the application essay, etc.
