Ryan Wheeler, M.A.

Director, Career, International, and Postdoctoral Services 

Ryan received his bachelor’s from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in postsecondary education administration from San Diego State University. Prior to his role as founding administrator for TSRI’s Career and Postdoctoral Services Office, he worked in the Office of Admissions at the University of Washington and in the Career Services Center at the University of California, San Diego.  He is an active member of the National Postdoctoral Association and Graduate Career Consortium, and has given professional development workshops at institutions and professional meetings around the US.

Jean Branan, M.A.

Program Coordinator, Career and Postdoctoral Services (CA Campus)

Jean obtained her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology as well as a Master of Arts in Education specializing in Postsecondary Education Leadership from San Diego State University. She comes to The Scripps Research Institute with over ten years in higher education administration and career services experience where she’s partnered with faculty, staff and industry professionals working in both corporate and academic environments.

Xinrui Li, Ph.D. 

Program Coordinator, Career and Postdoctoral Services (Florida campus) 

Xinrui received her bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from Fudan University, China. She then obtained her doctoral degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in Cell Biology/Immunology, where she completed a short postdoctoral fellowship, and served as an Instructor of Medicine before joining Scripps. In addition to her scientific background and experience, she is contributing expertise in career exploration, professional development, higher education administration, education grant application, scientific skills development and training, program administration, and event coordination.
