RCR Training Opportunities:

1. RCR at Scripps California
UCSD personnel present a course that meets seven times for two hours each day for Scripps trainees. The description of this course is available at http://ethics.ucsd.edu/related-programs/sdrec/courses/tsri. The next course will be held on the follwoing dates in 2018: February 5, 12, 13, 15, 19, 20, and 22.   

Space is limited and priority is given on a first-come, first-served basis to trainees who have received fellowships or are on training grants. You must register in advance for this course at: http://hris.scripps.edu/training/  

No one will be admitted on the first day of the course without prior registration.  Attendance at the first session is required for participating in the course. You will receive confirmation of your registration by email that will provide the building/room information for the course.  Upon successful completion of the seven-day course, you will receive a completion certificate for your records.

Other RCR training options are available, including additional proposed courses on the TSRI campus in coming months.  We will be updating the RCR website information as plans are finalized.  

2. RCR for Scripps Florida
UCSD personnel present a course that meets seven times for two hours each day for Scripps Florida trainees via videoconference. The description of this course is available at http://ethics.ucsd.edu/related-programs/sdrec/courses/tsri. Dates for the 2018 course will be announced in the coming months.

Space is limited and priority is given on a first-come, first-served basis to trainees who have received fellowships or are on training grants. You must register in advance for this course by contacting cpso@scripps.edu.

The Institute will offer RCR training for Scripps Florida trainees approximately once per year, and we will be updating the RCR website information as plans are finalized.  

3. RCR at UCSD
TSRI contracts with UCSD to provide ethics training that meets NIH’s criteria.  With approval, TSRI postdocs are eligible to attend an ethics course at UCSD at no cost. Michael Kalichman, Ph.D., founding director for UCSD’s Research Ethics Program (bio), was awarded the 2012 UCSD Chancellor's Associates Award for Faculty Excellence in Community Service.
