Science Saturdays

Overview  |  EligibilityScience Saturdays Image

The Office of Educational Outreach and Community Engagement invites applications from teachers who are interested in participating in an innovative series of science lectures entitled Science Saturdays.  They are designed to bring the excitement of research and the passion of Scripps scientists and researchers to middle and high school students in Southern California.  Every lecture highlights the cutting-edge research occurring at The Scripps Research Institute and provides a window into the life of a scientist.

The event includes an interaction lecture by Scripps faculty, hands-on science activities, demonstrations, and Q&A with scientists, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Admission is free of charge and seating in the TSRI Auditorium is on a first-come basis. The presentations and lesson plans from the sessions will be recorded and placed on our YouTube channel.
