Student InternsOVERVIEW

The High School Student Summer Internship Program on the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute is a eight-week hands-on research experience for students preparing to enter their junior or senior year at a high school in Palm Beach County.

The program is designed to expose students to a variety of contemporary issues in basic biomedical research, provide hands-on laboratory experience, and motivate and prepare students for continuing education in the sciences. Scripps is committed to increasing the number of students underrepresented in the sciences who pursue undergraduate and graduate programs in the biological and chemical sciences. The program is made possible by a generous grant from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust.
