Research Areas

Led by the ideas and ingenuity of more than 200 principal investigators across two campuses, Scripps Research is renowned for its interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to scientific discovery, enabled by cross-cutting technologies. The institute's focus, broadly defined, is on the quantitative molecular sciences and their connection to human health. Scripps Research is well positioned along the axis of translational science, the aim of which is to relate advances in the basic sciences to opportunities in drug discovery and disease-related research.
