His experience: "The Scripps SURF/REU was a great opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where people want to push the frontiers of science."

Latest news: "In November I won a 2014 Minnesota High Tech Association Foundation (MHTF) scholarship and also formed part of the Mayo Innovation Scholars Program (MISP), a program that allows science undergraduates, business/economic undergraduates, and a MBA student at selected MN private colleges to work together to research the market viability of a Mayo product."

What's next: "I just started the second semester of my junior year and hope to continue to work on my MISP project and apply to summer science internships."
