Christina Shumaker
Role: Christina Shumaker serves as an administrative coordinator for the Office of Graduate Studies on the California campus of Scripps Research. In this capacity, she serves at the first point of contact for the Graduate Office, responding to the needs of graduate students, faculty, staff and visitors. Shumaker supports students and faculty with the processing of official documents and forms, and provides logistical support for student committee meetings and other graduate program events.
Background: Shumaker holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. Prior to joining the Office of Graduate Studies at Scripps Research, Shumaker has served as an executive assistant and center manager for a private company assisting high school students. Her focus was to provide support and streamline processes for team members, students and parents.
