The Scripps Research Institute (Scripps Research) is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education, 985 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100, Alameda, CA 94501.

LATEST NEWS

On February 26, 2020, WSCUC reaffirmed Scripps Research's accreditation for a period of ten years. Read the WSCUC reaccreditation action letter HERE.

The Accreditation Visit to Scripps Research's California campus by the evaluation team occurred Sept. 17-19, 2019 and to the Institute's Florida campus Aug. 28-29, 2019.

The Offsite Review of Scripps Research's Interim Report by the evaluation team occurred Feb. 5, 2019.

The Institutional Report was submitted on Nov. 27, 2018.

The Mid-Cycle Review took place in Spring 2016.

In 2011, the Commission acted to reaffirm the accreditation of the graduate program at Scripps Research.

TIMELINE

Scripps Research will schedule a Progress Report to be submitted by October 1, 2024 to address all Commission recommendations included in the Feb. 26, 2020 reaccreditation report.

Scripps Research will schedule the Mid-Cycle Review to begin May 1, 2025.

Scripps Research will schedule the next reaffirmation review with the Offsite Review in spring 2029 and the Accreditation Visit in fall 2029.
