James Ellis
Role: James Ellis serves as the graduate program analyst for the Office of Graduate Studies on the California campus of Scripps Research. His duties include coordinating the course registration process, providing support to faculty and staff engaged in course development, and managing the graduate program’s course schedule. In addition, Ellis also assists in collecting, analyzing and disseminating a wide range of data related to the program’s academic and business operations, which is used to gain an understanding of student and program learning outcomes, and make informed decisions.
Background: Ellis holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian and a master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. Prior to his current role, Ellis worked as a business analyst in Portsmouth, UK, and as a research analyst for Alliant International University in San Diego.
