Damon Page, PhD

Associate Dean of Graduate Studies

Damon Page is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience. Page received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Eastern Oregon University in 1999 and his doctoral degree from University of Cambridge in 2002, with his thesis work carried out at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Following postdoctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Allen Institute, Page joined the faculty of Scripps Research’s Jupiter, Florida campus in 2011. In 2022 he became associate dean of graduate studies.

Page’s research is focused on how the brain develops and how this process is altered in neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disability. His research is investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms by which mutations in neurodevelopmental disorder risk genes lead to abnormal growth and connectivity in the developing brain, as well as altered behavior and cognition. Mechanistic insight gained from this work is being utilized to develop novel approaches to treat individuals impacted by neurodevelopmental disorders.
