Graduating Class of 2020

The 43 Scripps Research graduate students who received doctoral degrees in 2020 did so during the unprecedented circumstances of the coronovirus pandemic and resulting shutdowns. In addition to limited laboratory access, the COVID-19 outbreak's social distancing restrictions made a virtual commencement ceremony necessary. The event was a celebration of the perseverence and academic achievements of the students in the face of unique challenges.
