Degree-Related Publication Rates
The chart above illustrates the mean number of first-author publications for each cohort. This total includes any research published after a student's thesis defense and graduation, provided it directly related to and resulted from the student’s doctoral studies at Scripps Research.
Publication Rates by Year in Program
The chart above illustrates the publication rates for currently enrolled graduate students at Scripps Research. The data are separated by cohort, with the 2015 student group listed first (YEAR 1) and the 2010 student group (YEAR 6) listed on the far right. The yellow line denotes the mean number of publications students in a given cohort have achieved by that point in their graduate studies. The blue columns illustrate the percentage of students in a given cohort have achieved at least one publication by that point in their graduate studies.
Achievement of Publication Goals
Scripps Research's Graduate Program sets a target publication goal at several yearly milestones: 1 publication by the end of the 3rd year, 2 publications by the end of the 4th year, and 3 publications by the end of a student's 5th year. The chart above illustrates the progress by year of currently enrolled students relative to these targets.
Alumni Publication Rates
The chart above illustrates career publication rates for Scripps Research alumni, separated by cohort. The data include all publications achieved by alumni since they enrolled at Scripps Research.
