COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will cover the fundamental principles of neuroscience from a cellular and molecular perspective. The first part of the course will be student led by both a student and a faculty mentor and will analyze classic primary research articles that either established core areas of study or radically impacted our understanding of the brain. The second half of the course will be student led analysis of primary research articles of recent advances in special topics. Each student will be required to present one study from each half of the course. Grading will be 30 percent class participation and 35 percent for each study presented.
