Scripps Research 2026 SURF Program Informational Webinar

Scripps Research hosted an informational presentation on the institute's 2026 summer research internship program for college undergraduates on Wednesday, November 19. The event included a conversation with program staff and former interns, and provided detailed information about the institute's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF) program.

Topics covered include how to navigate the online application process and daily life as an intern at Scripps Research. Viewers will learn how the SURF program:

• Offers students the opportunity to experience cutting-edge research in one of our laboratories while being mentored by our world-renowned faculty during a ten-week internship;
• Is offered at Scripps Research in La Jolla, CA; and
• Provides a competitive stipend and housing near campus.
