Madeline Balzarini, PhD

Doctoral Thesis: Chemically Induced Protein Degradation by Direct Recruitment to the 26S Proteasome
Research Focus: Balzarini developed novel chemical degraders that work by bringing target proteins directly to the 26S proteasome for destruction.
Undergraduate Institution: Carnegie Mellon University
Looking Back: "My time in graduate school was defined by my amazing lab mates. It was a privilege to work with and learn from everyone in the Kodadek Lab!"
Next Steps: "I'm looking forward to learning and growing as a scientist, wherever my career takes me next."
