Career Outcomes

As a member of the Coalition for Next Generation Life Science (CNGLS), Scripps Research is committed to collecting and publishing career outcomes data for PhD and postdoctoral alumni. These data help current and prospective trainees make informed choices about their career plans and serve to enhance education and training initiatives at the institute.

 In addition to career outcomes, Scripps Research collects and publishes data using common standards on the following topics:

  • Admissions and matriculation data of PhD students;
  • Median time-to-degree and completion data for PhD programs;
  • Demographics of PhD students and postdoctoral scholars by gender, underrepresented minority status, and citizenship status; and
  • Median time in postdoctoral status at the institute.
